Do you feel blessed, happy, fortunate, prosperous and enviable?

Do you believe you are blessed all the time or just sometimes?  Blessings continually come from the Lord even in difficult times, just trust Him and believe.
Happiness is a choice, be happy for what you have, don't put happy on hold till you get what you want!  It's a choice.

Fortunate, look around and consider how the Lord has daily directed your path, be thankful and have compassion on those less fortunate.
Prosperous is having the right attitude, being thankful, not always wanting more but enjoying everything you have.
Enviable is having others watch you and wonder why you are different with your attitude, work ethics, compassion and peace!

Psalms 1:1-2a (Amp)
Blessed, happy fortunate, prosperous and enviable is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly...but his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord.
Romans 13:8 (amp)
Keep out of debt, owe no man anything except to love one another, for he who loves his neighbor, who practices loving others, has fulfilled the law...

Jesus Loves you!

Can you see the Beauty

Do you see the beauty in an individual flower, or do you see a bunch of flowers? Something to think about.
How about a crowd of people, do you see the crowd or do you concentrate on an individual?  Probably depends on your day and how things are going.
Can you tell when someone has seen you as an individual or just seen the crowd that you were in and never really saw you at all?

We all want to be seen for who we are and not for the crowd we run with.  Maybe this has something to do with the fact that being unique is important in a very busy and hectic world?

When you go out today, take the time to pray first and ask the Lord to let you have eyes to see individual people and connect with them in prayer, a smile or a kind word and know that you are making a difference in their eternal destiny.  How, by taking the time to reach out and do what you have been called to do. Share the love of the Lord.

Who knows how many people prayed for you as you walked through life, and whose prayers kept you from danger, drew you closer to the day of your salvation or gave you supernatural peace.  You may never know here on earth, but when you get to heaven you will know.

James 5:16b

" After You "

Have you ever been driving on the freeway and all of a sudden someone goes speeding past, cuts you off and doesn't use their blinkers just to get ahead of you? There are so many ways we can react to that...some might be angry, which will cause some aggressiveness inside, some might want revenge and speed up to "get even".....I have a way that makes driving on the freeway actually peaceful! Since we NEVER will know the reason someone drives crazy like that, I always imagine that maybe they just got some bad news and have to get home quickly....someone is sick or in the hospital or worst of all has died......so I say ..." After you" ...and gesture my hands in allowing them to come into my lane...it feels good in my heart and leaves no room for ugly words or thoughts to creep in.....sometimes I even take it a step further and pray that they get there safely and all will be good.

I choose to keep an " after you " attitude and only allow room for sweet thoughts and words for my fellow drivers........
What about you?.......Try saying " After You"...... It feels really good

We’re Invited!

In my school days, I remember how important it was to be among the chosen.  You know, the ones that got all the invitations to all the great parties at the homes of the popular people.  And I remember fun times times when I was invitedand tough timestimes when I was not invited.

As kids, my group of friends misplaced our self-value when we weighed our worth against what others had.  There was no plumb line to measure or understand how worthy we were, nothing that was a sign to show everyone else WE HAVE VALUE IDENTITYCOOLNESS!

Only when we know who we are in Christ will we understand our true identity.  He is the plumb line that dictates our value!  He is the One that validates us as worthy!

In Matthew 22, Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven is like a wedding banquet.  The greatest party ever!  Everyone who hears the gospel is invited.  EVERYONE!  Rich, poor, clean, dirty, damaged or sinful.  God values your presence there!   He set a specific place for you!  He sends His servants to invite you to attend.  He beckons those invited to come, but some refuse.  He sends yet more servants to invite, having prepared extensive delights for them, but still they refuse to come and they even treat His servants badly.  If you were giving the party of all eternity, wouldnt you be enraged at this point?  He went through much, and sacrificed much, to prepare an honored place for His chosen guests at this celebration, but still the invitation is declined.

The party will be filled at the marriage supper of the Lamb and the celebration will honor Jesus, Gods only son crucified for you on the cross to redeem you from sin.  Your past doesnt matter, there is room for you and He is expecting you.  He sends His servants to tell you about His love and extend an invitation to you to come boldly and confidently to Him for redemption.

When it is time for the party to begin and the table is set with the finest He has to offer, will you be there?  Do you know how much Jesus loves you?

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.
John 3:16 GNT

A thought for today

This is not my usual upbeat, moving forward type of blog today.  My heart is deeply sadden by the events of yesterday.  For some reason the senseless death of a young girl, a senior gentleman and a young boy, just overtook my heart with grief.

We are living in a day an age that our hearts need to be tender towards one another and be prepared to pray and intercede daily for our loved ones.  Not knowing these people personally does not make the tragedy easier.

I thought of the young 26 year old young man, going to his job faithfully and all of a sudden facing death in a horrific way.  I think of my grandsons who are close to that age and how they faithfully go to work every day, of the young woman in in her 20's for whatever the reason, dead.  The senior gentleman who had served this country and had his own business where he was reportedly a kind man good to his employees, dead.  Why, I ask myself, but then I also have to search my heart and say, don't take anyone for granted.  Life is too short and for some much shorter than one can imagine.
Examining my own heart, the fact that this has made me so sad, helps me personally know that I have to pray more fervently, not that one may not die, but that those I love and have contact with daily are aware of their eternal destiny.

Today I encourage each of you to stop, pray for those around you, and walk your faith out in such a way that you are there for those who are sad, those who are going through difficult times, those who may not know that we all will live eternally, but the question is where.  Let's be stronger and more courageous and take our walk with the Lord to another level.  Jesus is the only way, He is the truth and the life.  Without hope, life is so very sad.

Rejoice in the fact that you know the Lord and that you are assured of your eternal destiny and share this Good News with kindness, goodness and mercy.  Live so others will truly see there is a difference between living for ourselves and living for the Lord.

May you be blessed and may today be a day where you are someones divine appointment.  Live to the fullest and live for Jesus.

You are so loved...

and..be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.  Ephesians 4:32

Don't put off until tomorrow what should be done today!

If you can relate you know how frustrating this can be.  Personally I can relate.  So writing this is a step forward, even if a small one.

What I found and maybe you can relate to, is Accountability.  This is a key  so few people access yet it has such power.  Accountability will push you to success, if what you are desiring is truly a passion for you.  This can be in business where you are expected to meet goals.  It can be in your personal life with making the right choices, when temptation crosses your path.  It's about being trustworthy and finding someone you can trust.  Sitting down together, not texting or facebooking, but real face to face conversation, will help you stay faithful to the process.  Makeing a list of things you feel will help you accomplish your goals and become successful, being honest that some of the things you list will be difficult, but that you are willing to work for them, will challenge you and excite you.  Meeting once a week for an hour at a convenient place, going over your lists and checking the things that you have accomplished and honestly talking about the things you didn't do, will keep you on track.  It's not about just doing to be doing, but really seeing yourself where you  want to be.  Remember being trustworthy means not sharing these goals with anyone, just working together to succeed.

I have recently started with a friend who actually asked me to  hold her accountable.  We meet once a week, write down what we want to accomplish in the following week and then talk about what we did with the lists from the previous week.  As we begin to mark things off as Done, it gives a great deal of satisfaction.

Success is something that the Lord wants us all to have.  He is the one who gives us the power to gain wealth. This empowers us to reach out to others in ways that we could never do without being successful.  It's about believing the promises of God, receiving them as belonging to us, and moving in the directing that He leads.

Accountability.  If this is something that you feel would help you, ask the Lord for an accountability partner.  Be respectful of each others time, and stay focused on the goals you each have set.  Success.  It is within your reach to accomplish far beyond what you may think at this time.  Setting goals and stretching yourself, not only feels good, but is the key.  It's not always easy but being faithful, even when you have had an off week, will motivate you to move ahead.

If you have any questions or have any advise or stories how this has helped you in your life, let us know.  Sharing and caring, this is so powerful.

..But you shall (earnestly) remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth...Deuteronomy 8:18 (amp)

Restless

Sometimes I try to figure out why I am not getting anywhere and I think I may have a clue.  It is so easy to put off what needs to be done today and just assure yourself that you will get it done tomorrow!  But now I see that tomorrow can just be tooo far away.

With only 24 hours in a day and with sleep, eating and working, those hours go by so quickly.  I'm not sure it has anything to do with age, but just the fact that so much is going on all around us all the time, it's hard to focus.

Setting daily goals is a good thing, but achieving them is a much better thing.  Having someone to hold you accountable is a treasure that you can't put a price tag on.

Making a list is the second best thing.  If I write something down I am much more accountable to myself, because every time I look at the list I am convicted.....well, did you do this or not?   Oh, that is sometimes so painful.

With a new year, and a new day, my goal is to focus and to help others stay focused also.

We can live in the peace and joy of the Lord always because He promises to always be by our side and His grace is more than sufficient.  But to accomplish what we have each been called to do, we have to sincerely examine ourselves and cry out to the Lord for the daily, hour by hour help.

Let's pray for each other and then share our successes to encourage others.

If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends.   Philippians 2:1-3 (MSG)
