Anxious

Webster say anxious means:  having or showing anxiety; uneasy in mind; apprehensive, worried.
Hmmm...

I am sure we've all had our moments of anxiety, but....we need to get a grip and figure out why and take control.

I spent a whole night thinking about something that I couldn't figure out, so I was indeed anxious.  Results, the next day I was tired and didn't get a creative or productive thing done.  Now, who won that battle.  Did the Lord make me anxious, was the answer to my dilemma something that the Lord couldn't figure out?  I don't think so!!

Choice was mine, it's called "self control", and oh how we don't like that one, we want to get up tight, worry, be anxious..sometimes it just makes us "feel better".  Wrong, it actually steals the one thing we can't get back, our precious time.

Well, the next day when I got up and had my energy back, actually two days later, I began to ask the Lord to show me what the deal was.  And guess what....He Did!  Amazing how the Lord is always there to help us, it's just a matter of asking.  You know, humble yourself in the sight of the Lord.  After He began to show me how to process the issue and get to the bottom of it...the issue was solved.

So, my encouragement to you today, is before you lose sleep over anything, and I mean anything, ask the Lord to help you with the solution.  He is always there waiting for you to ask.  We ask, He hears and He responds.

Make it a good day, don't be anxious over things, cast all those cares and just enjoy each day.  You'll never get today back...it's a gift from God to you.  Make each day productive by giving it to the Lord when you get up.

Humble yourselves therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you..casting all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you.  I Peter 5:6-7 (esv)
